Bejuba! Entertainment Provides End-to-End Marketing Solutions For The Exploitation Of Family Entertainment Properties Globally
Former Egmont Imagination UK Managing Director, Tatiana Kober, formed Bejuba! Entertainment, a firm specializing in the financing, distribution and exploitation of intellectual property rights across all key markets and platforms, in late 2003. Based in Canada, with offices in LA, and the UK, the company works with a diversity of clients and entertainment properties in the areas of creative development, financing, marketing, production, distribution, consulting and packaging services.
Bejuba! represents unique and high quality projects with strong international and commercial potential. The company has approximately 8 different projects, which are in various stages of development, plus a number of series, which it distributes. In the three years since its inception, Bejuba! has already greenlit three series, with others close behind.
Bejuba!’s mission is to work with talented creative partners, to get their series seen by the international broadcast community and to get them into production. It is Bejuba!’s goal to award the creators with as much ownership as possible. Too often the creator is not properly recognized nor rewarded for their work.
Bejuba! counts top Academy Award winning producers Tandem Films and Snowden Fine amongst its client base, as well as internationally recognized companies National Geographic Kids Programming, and Production, Klasky Csupo and German national broadcaster’s ZDF Enterprises.
In May 2006, Bejuba! opened a sales office in the UK, recruiting industry veteran Karen Hunter, to head the division.
Tatiana specializes in both the production and business aspects of children's broadcasting globally. She has strong relationships with broadcasters and production companies around the world. Often a speaker at international events, she was asked to be a jury member at the Annecy Animation Festival, 2003.
Before starting Bejuba!, Tatiana Kober was the Managing Director of Egmont Imagination UK. She set up the London division of the Danish-based company, planned the strategy and ran the international children's distribution division. She played an integral role in securing the financing of new properties, finding partners for projects and possible co-ventures. She was a member of the creative board, which decided on the direction the company would take and the projects it would invest in. Tatiana also looked at third party productions in order to build the Egmont Imagination catalogue.
Tatiana joined Egmont Imagination in 2000, from her position as Children's Manager for GEM - ENDEMOL UK. There she distributed and co-developed Initial Kids' productions. In addition, her role included, assessing and acquiring programmes to build the children's catalogue.
Prior to working with GEM, Tatiana spent two years at BBC Worldwide in London, as a Sales Executive for children's drama and light entertainment programming. As a Children's Genre Specialist she reported on trends and news to CBBC Production and Global Brand Development.
Before joining BBC Worldwide, Tatiana lived in Tokyo, where she concentrated on securing co-productions for the Japanese national broadcaster, NHK.
Tatiana began her extensive media career in Canada working for TV Ontario. Over her six-years with the channel, Tatiana worked as director and associate producer on a variety of award-winning films and series.
Tatiana graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (B.A.A.) degree, in Radio and Television Arts, from Canada's highest-rated journalism - and media program, Ryerson University, in Toronto, Canada. She speaks three languages -English, German, and French.
